01Prepare your medical file
The first and most important step. Doctors in India assess your case from your reports — the more complete and clear the file, the faster and more accurate the reply.
Tip: Photograph every page clearly in good light, one full page per photo. Cropped or blurry photos slow the review down.
02Questions to ask the hospital before you decide
Don't decide on a hospital's name alone. These questions help you compare offers clearly:
Tip: Always ask for the offer in writing, and compare line items — not just the total.
03Visa and documents
India issues a medical visa for patients and a separate category for companions. Requirements and processing times change, so the official portal is always the reference.
Official Indian e-Visa portalTip: Apply well before your travel date, and don't book non-refundable tickets before the visa is approved.
04Plan your full budget
The treatment cost is only part of the picture. Count these items so nothing surprises you:

Send your reports on WhatsAppCommon questions
Do I need to translate my reports into English before sending them?
No, send them as they are. Hospitals in India work in English, and our team helps coordinate medical translation from Arabic, Uzbek and Russian.
Do I pay the treatment costs to Blue Crescent?
No. You pay treatment costs directly to the hospital according to its written offer. Our coordination and interpretation are free under our hospital agreements. Treatment, medicines, accommodation and travel costs are explained separately before any agreement.
How early should I start preparing?
The earlier the better. Start by sending your reports — the hospital review, its letter and the visa all take time, and timelines vary by case and nationality.
Can I bring a companion?
Yes, and it often helps. A companion needs a medical attendant visa, and we coordinate their accommodation and needs with you.
